West Coast Warbirds is a barnstorming tour company that operates in California, giving rides and instruction in an original 1945 WWII advanced trainer. You will take the controls of this piece of aviation history, and it is NOT a flight simulator. Our aircraft is a T-6, known as the Texan. The Texan sports a Pratt & Whitney 1340, 600 hp engine. This is the plane WWII pilots trained in before moving into the fighters and single engine dive bombers. The Texan is slightly larger than a P-51 Mustang. It sounds like thundering angels descending from the heavens above. Take the ride of your life or give someone the unforgettable flight experience with West Coast Warbirds gift certificates. This is a thrilling experience and an opportunity you won't want to miss. We will be in the Northern California areas of Redding, Red Bluff, Chico, Oroville, Marysville, Yuba City, Sacramento, Davis, Stockton, Tracy, Modesto, Turloch, Oakdale, Antioch, Livermore,Watsonville, Merced, Fresno, Madera, Visalia, Bakersfield, Long Beach. Look for us in your local paper or check our calendar for up coming venues and flights that are available.
Our T-6 is the REAL DEAL, and was built in 1945 as an advanced trainer. You will be flying a piece of history. It is unknown how many pilots this airplane trained but its a guarantee that the pilots it trained helped win WW2 and helped keeping our country free!
